Quick Info for 2016-17 Season

  • We will play all games on Saturdays this season! 
  • Games will start between 1pm and 8pm continuously. 
  • Games will start on 12.3.16 for a few teams but most games start 12.10
  • Game Dates: 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/5, 2/12, 2/18, 2/25. 
  • Championships & All-Star Games will be on 2.18.17 for HS division & 2.25.17 for other divisions. HS spring season starts early so you will finish season before Championships.

Teams Registration is Full & Closed. 7th-12th graders should register above on their own!

 Week 1: 12/3/16
Game 1:
Navy Seals-17
Army Rangers-12
The Capital Box Lacrosee league was off to a lightning start with a high scoring 1st game. In the junior elite division, Cavalier Army's Zach Kaloman had 9 goals and 2 assists, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Cavalier Navy squad. Bolden Gentile scored 2 goals and 2 assists as Helped his team to a 17-12 victory.

Game 2:

Green Beret -5
(Delta force up 4-3 at half)
In The CBLL's Jr. elite division Cavilers Delta Force beat Cavliers Green Beret 12-5. Delta Force was led by Ryan Adams with 3 goals, 2 assists. Cameron Goodloe became a leading contender for the C.A.S.E award, after laying a big hit on his opponent, then helping him back to his feet. Goodloe also netted 2 goals in the game.
 

Week 2: 12/10/16

Game 1:

Jr. North Stars 7

CBLL Bandits 14

In the Jr. Elite Division Nate Kabiri scored 2 goals had assisted twice as the CBLL Bandits beat the Jr. North Stars 14-7 in the first game of the afternoon. Christian MacArthur had a hat-trick along with an assist in the loss.

Game 2:

Cavs Capitals 17

Cavs Wizards 5

The Future elite Division saw a dominate performance by the Cavs Capitals in the second game of the afternoon. Brady Quinn scored a hat-trick and added 2 assists for the winning Capitals. Chase Paschuk scored 2 goals and 1 assist for the Wizards and Drew Marazzaco is an early candidate for the C.A.S.E award by displaying his toughness and heart with his double digit ground balls performance.

Game 3:

Cavs Redskins 16

Cavs Nationals 3

The Cavs Redskins got off to a fast start, building a 9-0 halftime lead. The Nationals scored a quick goal to start off the second half but it wasn’t enough. Will Porzinski scored 2 goals for the Nationals, while Griffin Hart had 4 goals 2 assists for the Redskins, leading all scorers.

Game 4:

Team 6 17

Vienna 1

Finn Gelbach scored 4 goals and had 2 assists in Team 6’s victory over Vienna. Goalie, Evan Blankenship had 18 saves in the game.

Game 5:

Jr. NorthStars 23

Celtic 3

The Jr. NorthStars got off to an impressive start with a big win on Saturday. Davis Owens scored 1 goal and had 3 assists. Sam Cristinzio had 20 saves on the day for Celtic.

Game 6:

St. Johns #1 23

Heritage 7

In an impressive display of athleticism, St. Johns won the opening game of the High School Elite Division. Dane Hall had 6 goals and 4 assists in the win. Trever Kerr had 2 goals and 3 assists for Heritage.

Week 3 12/17/16

 

Game 1:

Cavs Navy Seals 10

Cavs Green Berets 5

Carter Diamond had 2 goals and 2 assists for the Navy Seals as they took game 1 this week 10-5. Matthew Han had 1 and 1 for the Green Berets.

 

Game 2:

Cavs Rangers 10

CBLL Bandits 6

Rafe Bradshaw’s 5 goals, 2 assists, and 9 GBs wasn’t enough for the Bandits, as they fell to the Cavs Rangers 10-6. Johnny Kidd’s 31 saves helped propel the Rangers to victory.

 

Game 3:

Cavs Delta Force 11

Jr. NorthStars 8

Cameron Goodloe scored 4 goals, had 2 assists, and 6 GBs for the winning Cavs Delta Force. Reed Norton had 4 goals and 2 assists for the Jr. NorthStars.

Game 4:

Cavs Redskins 8

CBLL Celtic 11

Joe Colligan had a great performance, managing 21 saves for the Cavs Redskins, but Chase Roberson had 3 goals and 2 assists for Celtic which turned out to be the difference, as they took the second game of the CBLL season. Connor Pinto had 26 saves for Celtic in the win.

Game 5:

Cavs Nationals 3

Jr. NorthStars 10

Caleb Blow scored 2 goals and had 6 GBs for the Cavs Nationals, playing hard throughout the game. Gram Lesher had the shot of the day in the CBLL with an impressive behind the back goal as the Jr. NorthStars took the win 10-3.

Game 6:

Cavs Capitals 8

Team 6 10

In an intense contest, Team 6 outlasted Cavs Capitals 10-8. Ethan Waugh had 5 goals, 1 assist and 7 GBs for Team 6. Cavs Capitals had outstanding goaltending stopping 31 shots in the loss.

Game 7:

Lake Braddock 15

CBLL Swarm 2

Lake Braddock’s Zach Silva scored 4 goals had 2 assists and 4 Ground Balls in their win over Swarm. Erik Sahlgren had 2 goals for the Swarm.

Game 8:

St. John’s #2 11

Jr. NorthStars 3

Brian Katz scored 4 goals, 3 assists and had 5 GBs for St. John’s #2 in their opening game victory. Grant Gabaldon scored 2 goals for the Jr. NorthStars in the game.

Week 4 1/7/17:

Game 1:

Cavs Wizards 8

Vienna 4

The Capital Box Lacrosse League started off the New Year with defensive battle in first game of the afternoon. However, the Cavs Drew Mazzocco 2 goals 3 assists helped make the difference in the victory. Vienna’s Alex Irisari had 2 goals and an assist in the loss.

Game 2:

Cavs Redskins 6

Jr. Norhtstars 13

Game two got off to a hot start with a high scoring first half by the Jr. Northstars’ as they took a 8-4 lead with Drew Amborse score a goal and three assists in the half, however Michael Duffy led all scorers for the Northstars with 4 goals and 3 assists.  Jonas Vinson had 1 goal and 1 assist for the Cavs Redskins.

 

Game 3:

Cavs Nationals 9

Celtic 4

Cavs Nationals goalie Alex Bultorazi had over 25 saves en route to their victory over Celtic. Chris Rothenberger had 3 goals, 2 assists and 6 ground balls in the game.

Game 4:

CBLL Swarm 7

NorthStars 4

Ben Winiker score 2 goals and had 7 ground balls in the Swarm’s victory over the NorthStars. Jason Malone provided the offensive spark for the NorthStars in the first half and ended the game with 1 goal, 1 assist and 4 GBs

Game 5:

Heritage 2

St. Johns #2 14

Shannon Haigler was a one-man penalty killing machine for St. Johns as it was a physical game throughout. St. Johns went into half time with a 4-0 lead and broke away mid-way through the 2nd half. Devin Hage score 1 goal and had 1 assist along with 4 GBs in the game.

Game 6:

St. Johns #1 13

Lake Braddock 4

Trevor Demark led Lake Braddock with 1 goal and 1 assist in the physical game against St. Johns, but Deve Hippenstiel was too much in goal for St. Johns, with over 30 saves leading his team to the win.

Week 5 1/14/17:

Game 1:

Cavs Navy Seals 7

CBLL Bandits 7

Liam Savage had 2 goals and 3 assists and Alex Ashley had 2 goals and 5 ground balls in the game one of CBLL this Saturday.

Game 2:

Cavs Rangers 11

Cavs Delta Force 6

Game two got off to a defensive start with a hard fought, physical game. Makai Scott had 4 goals for the Rangers as they beat the Delta Force. Jack Markert scored 1 goal and had an assist in the loss.  

 

Game 3:

Cavs Green Berets 11

Jr. NorthStars 9

Johnny Kidd scored 4 goals and 5 helpers for the Green Berets as they won a close battle against the Jr. NorthStars. Ethan Inglisa scored a goal and had an assist along with 4 GBs for the NorthStars.

Game 4:

Heritage 4

NorthStars 17

Jason Baer scored 2 goals and had 2 assists for Heritage in the first High School level game of the afternoon. Brandon Huynh scored 4 goals and had 2 assists, including a highlight crease diving goal for the NorthStars in the win.

Game 5:

CBLL Swarm 5

St. Johns #1 19

Luke Kennelly scored 6 goals for St. Johns #1 as the dominated their match tonight. Eric Sahlgren scored 5 goals, had 1 assist and 7 GBs for the Swarm.

Game 6:

St. Johns #2 10

Lake Braddock 8

In one of the most physical games of the season, St. Johns, Jack Burns scored 4 goals and had 5 assists to propel St. Johns#2 in the 2 point victory. Tyler Wines had 2 goals and 2 assists for Lake Braddock.

Week 6 1/21/17:

 

Game 1:

Cavs Navy Seals 11

Jr. NorthStars 3

In Jr. Elite Division, the Cavs Navy Seals, led by Luke Musser who had 1 goal and 1 assist beat the Jr. NorthStars 11-3. Reed Norton led the NorthStars with 2 goals and 1 assist.  

Game 2:

Cavs Redskins 5

Cavs Wizards 11

Bryan Berryhill led all scorers with 5 goals, 3 assists and 6 GBs as the Cavs Wizards overcame the Cavs Redskins in the second half to hold on to the victory. Witt Henning scored 1 goal and 1 assist for the Cavs Redskins

Game 3:

Cavs Nationals 5

Cavs Capitals 12

The third game of the afternoon began as a defensive battle, holding to a 3 -3 tie at the half. But the Cavs Capitals pulled away in the second half behind Mike Han’s 8 goals 2 assists and 4 ground balls. Cavs Nationals’ Alex Duttarzzi’s 27 saves in the game.

Game 4:

Team 6 14

Celtic 9

Ethan Waugh had 3 goals and 2 assists for Team 6 as they pulled away late in the second half to beat Celtic. Connor Pinto had 25 saves for Celtic.

Game 5:

Vienna 5

Jr. NorthStars 12

Ronan Cleary had 1 goal and dished out 5 assists to help the NorthStars pull away from Vienna. Chase Robertson scored 3 goals, had 2 assists and 4 ground balls for Vienna.

Game 6:

St. Johns #1 9

St. Johns #2 8

St. Johns #1 won in exciting fashion with a 2-1 shootout victory. Brendan Whitty (aka ankle socks), had 2 goals, 4 assists and 4 GBs for #1. Gavy Delvillar scored 2 goals, 3 assists and 3 ground balls in the close loss for St. Johns #2.

Game 7:

Lake Braddock 10

Jr. NorthStars 9

Lake Braddock’s Ash Listermann had 32 saves and held off the NorthStars in the shootout to give his team a 2-1 shootout win. Grant Gabladon, one of the NorthStars leading scorers, stepped into the net and gave a stellar performance with 28 saves in the loss.

Game 8:

Heritage 5

CBLL Swarm 13

The Swarm scored 5 second half goals to pull away and take the win. Liam McNulty scored 1 goal, had 2 assists, and 7 GBs in the victory. Devin Hage had 2 goals and 3 assists for Heritage.

Week 7 1/28/17:

Game 1:

Cavs Rangers 9

Jr. NorthStars 10

After a great defensive battle the first half buzzer sounded and we were all tied at 5-5. The defensive match continued with 4 more ties and lead changes, until William Beckhorn’s 1 goal and 1 assist for the NorthStars propelled them over the Cavs Rangers 10-9. Kyle Lamguri had 33 saves for the Cavs Rangers.

Game 2:

Cavs Green Berets 13

CBLL Bandits 7

The Cavs Green Berets pulled away in the second half to solidify their win 13-7 behind James Garlind’s 2 goals and 3 assists. Donins Yantiss had 4 goals for the Bandits.

Game 3:

Cavs Navy Seals 12

Cavs Delta Force 3

Cavs Navy Seals got off to a hot start and never looked back. Carter Diamond scored 2 goals, 1 assist and 6 GBs in the win. Allen Starks had 1 goal, 1 assist and 4 ground balls for Delta Force.

Game 4:

Heritage 0

Lake Braddock 1

After an official forfeit by Heritage for low numbers, Lake Braddock and remaining Heritage players competed in an inter-squad game that became very competitive and high-flying.

Game 5:

CBLL Swarm 7

St. Johns #2 6

The Swarm got off a quick start and led 5-2 at the half. St. Johns came back, tied the game 6-6 with 1 min to go forcing a shootout. St. Johns won the shootout 2 goals to none. Tommy Howe had 1 goal, 1 assist and 3 GBs for St. Johns. Ethan Hsu had 1 goal, 2 assists, and 6 GBs in the shootout loss for the Swarm.

Game 6:

St. Johns #1 10

Jr. NorthStars 9

Jackson Leary stepped in goal for the NorthStars and had an outstanding game with 32 saves. Brendan Whilty scored 0 goals 4 assists and 9 GBs for St. Johns #1 and they won the shootout 3 to 1, taking the win.

Week 8 2/4/17:

 

Game 1:

Vienna 10

Cavs Redskins 12

Vienna and the Cavs Redskins battled for 44 minutes on Saturday with the Cavs Redskins pulling away in the last few minutes of the second half. Luke Ramano led all scorers for the Redskins with 6 goals, 2 assists and 4 GBs. Robert Bath had 3 goals for Vienna.

Game 2:

Cavs Nationals 3

Team 6 16

Team 6 got off to a hot start, holding a 6-1 lead at the half and continued to a 16-3 win over the Cavs Nationals. Jackson Blob scored 1 goal and had 1 assist for the Nationals. Sammy Mcaove score 3 goals for Team 6 in the win.

Game 3:

Cavs Capitals 15

Celtic 1

After a great defensive struggle for the first 6 minutes of the game keeping a scoreless tie, the Cavs Capitals started to pull away in the end of the first half and coasted to a 15-1 win. Celtic’s Rody Zerchar had 1 goal and 5 groundballs, leading all players. Jack Davis scored 6 goals leading the Cavs Capitals.

Game 4:

Cavs Wizards 7

Jr. NorthStars 6

Both teams were fired up from start to finish with 5 ties and 3 lead changes. The Cavs Wizards scored 2 late goals to tie and take the lead for good with 1:29 left. Abraham Al Kahail score 3 goals for the Cavs Wizards. Ryan Bik had 4 grounds balls and led the NorthStars offense throughout the game.

Game 5:

Cavs Rangers 12

Cavs Green Berets 9

The Ranges and Green Berets came out physical, exchanging penalties and goals in the opening 22 minutes, with the Green Berets holding a 6-5 at halftime. Cavs Rangers pulled away late, in part thanks to Eric Stuesser’s 3 goals and Gavin Gordon’s 2 assists, 4 ground balls. Quin Smith scored 2 goals for the Green Berets in the loss.

Game 6:

Cavs Delta Force 6

CBLL Bandits 10

With playoff seedings at stake, the Cavs Delta Force and CBLL Bandits came out physical and fast in the first half, ending the 22 minute period knotted up 3-3.  Dwight Ware led the Bandits in the second half, shutting down the Delta Force offense, scoring 2 goals, and scooping 11 second half GBs. Logan Hines score 2 goals, had 1 assist and 4 GBs for Delta Force.

Week 9 2/11/17:

 

Game 1:

Cavs Capitals 14

Vienna 6

Vienna got off to a quick start with a 3-0 lead, however the Cavs Capitals drew even by the half, 5-5. In the second half the Cavs Capitals pulled away with Gage Bandy leading the way with 2 goals 3 assists. Robert Bath from Vienna had a stellar game with 3 goals and 2 assists.

 

Game 2:

Cavs Wizards 5

Team Six 9

Sammy McAvoy’s 4 goals and 2 assists powered Team Six to a 9-5 victory. Goalie Ashton Alcarse had 33 saves for the Cavs Wizards.

Game 3:

Cavs Green Beret 3

Jr. North Stars 16

The Jr. NorthStars got off to a fast start and didn’t look back. Rubin Stoll won 8 Faceoffs, had 2 goals, 2 assists, and 6 GBs for the NorthStars. Goalie Chris Lindemeyer had 24 saves for the Cavs Green Berets.

Game 4:

Jr. North Stars 14

Heritage 11

Jacob Himeon had 4 goals, 3 assists, and 8 GBs for the NorthStars as they took the win in one of the most exciting contests of the afternoon. Sam Stone scored 3 goals, had 2 assists and 9 GBs for Heritage.

 

Game 5:

St. Johns 2 6

Lake Braddock 5

Game one, of the first round of the High School division did not disappoint, with the game staying tight from start to finish. St. Johns #2 held off Lake Braddock to advance to next week’s championship game. Chris Cranston scored 3 goals, had 3 assists and 4 GBs for the Lake Braddock.

Game 6:

St. Johns #1 9 (OT)

Swarm 8

Dane Hall scored the winning goal in OT to send St. Johns #1 into the championship game. Ben Whiticker scored 4 goals, had 4 assists and 7 GBs for the Swarm, who led most of the contest until St. Johns was able to tie late in the 2nd half.
