The Madlax California HS Orange team took its first trip to the East Coast this summer with the FLG in 3D tournament.  The team started play on Friday with an 7-4 win over the Looney's 2016 Green, a powerhouse club out of Baltimore. 
On Saturday, they opened the day with a second win over the Predators 2016 out of Maryland and finished bracket play with an 11-8 loss to 3D Canada/America. 

After the bracket play, the team was 2-1 and headed to a quarterfinal game against Eclispe.  Unforutnatley, the team lost to Eclispe, the eventual 2016 champions, to bow out of the championship bracket.

However, on Sunday morning the team bounced back with a decisive and dominating win 9-7 over the Haymakers.  It was a great weekend for Madlax California.  The team showed great character and was paced by Team MVP Angelo Lagormarismo and C.A.S.E. award winner Cary Goeller.

"This group was incredible," said Head Coach Panchito Ojeda.  "They played as a team.  Very unselfish and focused on getting better and learning the game.  Throughout the weekend they represented Madlax California and themsevles well.  Each of these young men are getting better and poised to make a big impact with Madlax in the fall and their high schools next spring!"
