MVP’s: Jack Bailey, Hough Biles

Hough gets Blazers on the board first. Jack Bailey for VLC scores back to back goals to make it 2-1.  Jack Frekko splits two to make it 2-2. End of 1.  Felix makes it 3-2 Blazers on break away goal.  Landon wins faceoff, throws sick box fake buries low and away. 4-2.  92 Jack Taylor makes it 4-3.  End of a physical second period.  Hough sniffs out his own rebound stuffs it. 5-3 and Blazers.  3:30 left in game.  VLC Parker makes it a one goal game with 2:30 left in the game. 5-4. Blazers hold on. 

Game 2: 

Warriors 5

MVP’s: Grayson, Archie

 Impressive ball movement by both teams but the defense was more impressive consistently collapsing on the ball carrier. Relentless riding by both squads. #23 Ryan for vlc is the first to break through 1-0 with 2:30 left in first. End of 1.  Parker fights through a check for a nice overhand low and away goal. 1-1.  Archie was turning defenders around and stuck back to back goals to take lead 3-1 with 5’ left in 2nd. Start of third. #2 Grayson scores for vlc. 3-2. Landon makes it 4-2. Archie gets his second to make it 5-2 with 3 min left. 

Game 3

Thunderbirds 5

MVP’s: George Mulligan, Will Agnew

Goalie leg pads took a beating this game. A lot of opportunities, good ideas being executed as the kids were making the right looks just couldn’t get any to drop. 0-0 end of 1.  Brennan breaks the ice on a one man play, forced turnover on the ride and buried to make it 1-0 Thunderbirds.  William follows up with a g. 2-0 Thunderbirds.  Jacks gets to the middle and buries low and away. 3-0 birds. James gets his first as time runs out in the second. 4-0 Thunderbirds. Start of 3rd. Jax gets his second on man up. 5-0 Thunderbirds. Ballgame.

FUTURES ELITE

Game 4:

VLC White 7 
Seals 3 
MVP’s: Clark, Chase

Wes Graham opens it up for VLC. Clark with a worm burner to tie 1-1. Clark sidearm pull to off hip to make it 2-1. End of 1.  James prime time ties it up 2-2. Wes with a great lefty bounce to the far pipe. 3-2 VLC. #2 nets one. . 4-2 VLC. Graham gets one 5-2 VLC. End of 2.  VLC gets another 6-2. Graham gets his second. 7-2. Clark gets a hat trick. 7-3. 

Game 5

Rock 9
VLC Red 4
MVP’s: Wes Graham, Grady Alton

Grady kicks off the game with the first goal, putting the Rocks in the lead 1-0. Graham quickly responds, tying the game 1-1. But Gavin isn't one to be outdone, bringing the Rocks back in the lead with a score of 2-1. Dylan then takes charge, hammering in two goals and extending the Rocks' lead to 4-1 in the second period. Gavin continues his impressive performance, scoring two more goals and making it 5-1. Not stopping there, Gavin completes a hat trick, pushing the score to 6-1 in the second period. He doesn't stop at three, though, as he scores his fourth goal of the period, making it 7-1. Graham finally gets on the board with his first goal, but the Rocks still hold a commanding lead of five goals. As the third period begins, Wes Graham adds another goal to his tally, narrowing the gap to 7-3. Sam keeps the game interesting by scoring, making it 4-7 against the Rocks. Dylan then completes a hat trick of his own, pushing the Rocks' lead to 8-4. Chris seals the deal, finishing the game off with a goal, and the Rocks emerge victorious with a final score of 9-4.

MVP’s: John Auville, Dylan Weeder

Scrappy first period that clamped down on all offense. 0-0 end of 1. VLC Dylan Weeder 25 finally breaks through and sticks it top cheese. Mason said I see you Dylan, but I’m old school. Buried it with a bouncer to off stick hip. 2-0. That Didn’t sit well with John Auville, so he scored a determined goal to make it 2-1. Declan wasn’t comfortable with a one goal lead so he made it two. 3-1 VLC. End of 2. Lorne in transition with a quick split to overhand g. Textbook. 4-1 VLC. VLC adds another before Landon nets. One for swarm. 5-2 VLC. Joe sticks one off a slick feed from Dylan. 6-2 final. 

JUNIORS ELITE

Game 7 

VLC White 4
VLC Red 2 
MVP’s: Mike Marshner, Grant Wright

Red gets on the board first with a hard lefty bouncer from distance from Mike Marshner. 1-0 Red. White (mack #30 and Andrew Cornell) goes back to back to take the lead 2-1. End of 1.  Red ties it 2-2 with 8 min left in second. White takes the lead again 3-2. Call it a back and forth game right now. Punch counterpunch. Eli Miller ties it 3-3. End of 2.  White gets out first 4-3. Terrence on a break away text book overhand bury. 4-4 5 min left. Grant Wright sticks the game winner with 2 min to go. 

Game 8

Mammoth 7
Knighthawks 6
MVP’s: Zephryn Marsh, James Lincoln

Zephryn with a pretty finish from his pretty stick. Mammoth 1-0.  Beckett makes it look easy with a transition clean finish. 1-1. Springer goes straight through the middle of the d for string inside finish. 2-1 Mammoth. Pierce ties it up again. 2-2. Knighthawks take the lead behind James (hockey helmet). 3-2. End of 1. Getting physical. Tripp to Springer to tie it 3-3. Springer gets another off a rebound. 4-3 Mammoth. Nice passing in transition Beckett goal. 4-4. End of 2. Mason puts Knighthawks up 1. Knighthawks racking up penalty minutes per usual. After another cheap penalty by the Knighthawks. Springer ties it up 5-5. Superb defense in transition by Ben Neal who then takes it up and sticks one to take lead. 6-5. Beckett another to tie 6-6 with under 4 to play. Another penalty on the Knighthawks. Man up goal Sayan to trip. Excellent motion by Tripp on the crease to get open. 28 seconds left. Impressive win by Mammoth. 7-6.
