After seven weeks of play, the Roughnecks and Stealth came into the CBLL Future Elite Division Championship well prepared and ready to battle. Both squads spent the first 8 minutes locked in a defensive match until the  Roughnecks’ Charlie Ball found Tanner Wiles for the game’s first goal. Tanner Wiles assisted Avi Ruiz kicking off a Roughnecks scoring run that gave them a 3 goal lead before the Cole Stup put the Stealth on the scoreboard. As the first half was coming to a close, Tanner Wiles dodged 3 defenders and put the ball pass the Stealth net-minder, giving the Roughnecks a 6-2 lead heading into halftime. Charlie Ball scored for the Roughnecks extending their lead 7-2 early in the second half. After winning consecutive face offs, Caden Southworth and Ben Vineyard scored back-to-back goals that begun a 5 goal run. Cole Stup scored back-to-back goals for the Stealth completing comeback. With 9 minutes to go, it was anyone’s game. Roughneck’s Ethan Glessner and the Stealth’s Noah Frost trade goals as ties turned to lead changes and back to ties throughout the last 5 minutes of regulation.  With under 2 minutes to go,  Gray Bryne finished a beautiful feed from Bobby Schroder on the crease, solidifying the epic comeback leading the Stealth to a 9-8 Championship Victory!

Cadets 2022 - 10
Prince William - 7

The Cadet’s John Luke Duley beat his defender for an inside finish breaking a scoreless first 5 minutes of the High School Elite Championship.  Gabriel Russell ended the Cadets lead 45 seconds later, followed by a goal from Stefan Granados for Prince William. After the half settling into a defensive battle, Patrick O'Donnell capped off a 3 goal run for the Cadets giving them a 4-2 lead into the half. Richard Checo kept the scoring going for the Cadets to start the second half, followed by Blake Boyd’s goal, extending the lead to 4 goals. Cole Bonnell beat the netminder, getting the Warriors on the second half goal, followed by Henry Schaffer rocket beating the Cadets keeper, cutting the lead to two. Blake Boyd scored his second goal as part of a three goal run for the Cadets, giving them a 9-4 lead with 9 minutes to go. Luke O’Donnell then beat two defenders to the inside and scored for the Cadets. Cole Bonnell scored his second goal of the game for Prince William beginning a 3 goal run, however the Cadets were able to hold possession for the last minute of the game, to hold on for the championship win.

Jr. Elite Championship Recap & MVP's

Jr. Elite Championship Game
Team 6 - 15
Cavalier Blue - 7

After the Cavaliers scored the opening goal, Michael Duffy and Henry Fleckner capped of a 3 goal run for Team 6. Matt Han brought the Cavalier’s back beating the netminder to close the deficit to one, then again on the power play with 11 minutes to play in the first half.  Henry Flecker earned a hat-trick at the 9 minute mark, propelling Team 6 to a 4 goal lead. After trading goals in the final minutes of the first half the Cavaliers Brody Carroll received a long outlet from Matt Han to score, beating the buzzer. Team 6 took a 9-4 lead into halftime. Team 6 and the Cavaliers traded goals early in the second half as Team 6 maintained their 5 goal lead. Henry Fleckner added his 4th and 5th goal of the game for Team 6 as they extended their lead late in the second half. Matt Han plowing through defenders, scored his 4th goal late in the second half. Quinn Grimes capped off an impressive game with an around-the-world goal late in the game as Team 6 took the Junior Elite Championship.
